There is a girl that I like who has liked me for a long time. She chased me for a few years but I kept hurting her and rejecting her. Now I'm not sure that she wants to be with me. I think I have hurt her too much. I really still like her a lot though. How do I show her that I still like her? I'm not sure that she'll listen to any words from me anymore, so I think there should be a way to show her for sure that I do still want to be with her. How do I do this?
In the past I had a guy like you he hurted me a lot but I still loved him after all. First try to be honest, talk to her. Then try to ask her on a date. If she says yes try to make that date unforgettable and at the end of the date tell her that you apologize honestly (make sure it's sincere) for all the things that you've done to her and tell her how you still feel about her. If she still likes you there's a big chance she'll take you back but don't hurt her again.
Thanks! She actually called me twice this week, which is a miracle, because she hasn't called me for a long time without me calling her first! So, I think that I will give it a bit of time before asking her out again - time for her to heal and to just know that I am a friend and that I do really care about her! Thanks again for your advice! :) - 6 months ago
Ask her out, tell her how you feel, tell her that you like her and that you'd like to spend some time with her. Treat her like a lady. Put some food together and take her on a picnic lunch, she will really be impressed.
It's really the effort that counts. If you show her that you're interested, there is a slight chance she'll respond back. But if it's all the pain that you say caused her, you have to show her that you truly did change, and that you regret your actions. Sometimes a simple "I'm Sorry" that is completely sincere, will go a long way. Maybe try buying her something, not as if to bribe her, but as if to say I'm sorry, and if actions of the sort don't work, accompanied with persistence, then nothing will. I guess it's more of going and getting it out in the clear, all your emotions, and hope for the best.
You're going to have to earn it. You need to show her, in actions, that you're sorry for being a d*$k and that you've changed, and that you want to be serious with her.
You're going to have to make her feel like she has never felt for a guy before.
You may end up embarassing yourself to get her, but if you do whatever it takes, she'll start paying attention. Swallow the pride and make her feel loved.
