so I think I kind of like this girl. but my friend likes her too, so I'm not gonna be shady and take her from him but. I still talk to her, because its fun. but I don't really flirt with her, we talk about whatever though, but sometimes I kind of want to say things to her like, if she says what are you doing, sometimes I kind of want to say like "oh procrastinating homework, because I got more important things like talking to you" but I feel all nervous and shady. what can I do. haha
If she is not with your friend officially I don't think it is shady to say how you feel about her. My best boyfriend and my husband were best friends of the guys that liked me at the time.

Try a little bit of flirting and see if she doesn't mind. And flirt even more if you think it's right.
But of course don't do it in front of your friend. If she starts giving you the flirty look, and you friend knows, just act as if it's normal. Or that you guys are getting close and it's normal xD
It is nice that you're thinking about your friend feeling but all the decision is up to her. Its more like lets the best man win game. So I don't see anything wrong with you saying it to her. How is she with your friend? Is she flirting with him when he is around? How is she with you? Is she flirting with you? If she is always around you and flirt with you mean she is into you and you should make your move.lol

From your comment below..she already give you her answer how she feels bout your buddy. Also how you need to show her that you want to be more than friend with her. She is not flirting with you because she doesn't know or sure what is your feeling toward to you.
