I was gone for three weeks due to some bad life situations and when it happened I told this guy I had a crush on a few days after the life situation happened. When I told him he seemed shocked, angry that it happened, and sympathetic all at the same time.

Later on he asked me if I've been coming around and hanging out with mutual friends like I used to before the life situation happened and I said no and I said it was because I trying to fix the things that were going on and not that it's fixed I'm back.

And he says with a smile, "Well welcome back. We've been waiting for you to come back."

And I found that statement odd because not many people we knew, knew about what I was dealing with and even those that did didn't really notice I was gone.

So what do you think.was that a hint meaning "I was waiting for you to come back" or no?

I think he was sayig he missed you and they (your friends) missed you. It's just a way of letting you know he's happy you are back.

Question Asker I know he missed me but for him to say "we"...and it was like who's we? Sure we have mutual friends and acquaintances in common but most of them don't know about what happened to me and the ones that did didn't even notice I was gone - 3 months ago
Answerer They missed you too and noticed you were gone...I dunno. Why not ask him. I doubt he told them anything. - 3 months ago

Yes, treat us equal in every way, even if it causes us problems

No, we should get equality when we want it, but preferential treatment other times.
