Just talk to him. Get over your shyness (I know how hard it is, I'm shy too) and ask him some question. Just keep asking him open-ended questions about things he mentions in the conversation. You won't have to talk much, you'll mostly be paying attention to him.

It sounds like you're asking how to approach him. Ask him a BS question about homework. When he answers it, ask him how he likes that class (Ugh! I hate Ms. Johnson! What do you think of her class?) While you two are talking (or really, while you're listening to him talk) flirt a little. Lick your lips, play with your hair, look at his mouth, point your legs towards him. He'll be thrilled.

I think that you should make more small talk with him, and make him realize that you are more than just a pretty face. Make him comfortable with you, and then you can just go from there! Hope this works!
