There is this girl, who I have been too afraid to ask out for far too long. The main problem is when I call her I either lose my nerve or my phone loses signal. Also she and I don't see each other anywhere for any reason, we met in school last year and, since then, graduated.
Well I heard she had gotten a job recently and saw this as an opportunity to talk with her in person, since I do far better when talking in person. But I'm not sure how to approach her at work.
A lot of this depends on what kind of job it is and what kind of boss she has. At some jobs it would just be inappropriate to strike up conversation, and some bosses won't tolerate any socializing even from the most trivial of positions. I can't see the harm in saying "hey" and then following her lead. If she looks nervous or like she doesn't want to talk, respect that. But if she acts friendly and seems happy to see you there, cut loose.
just go up to her and say something like, "hey." just something really simple. or you could say, "you look familiar. didn't you go to my school?" or something like that. or maybe you can get one of your friends to get to know her and introduce you 2, and see where that takes you.
and yes, to answer your question, I love it whenever guys talk to me at or after work.
