Are "multiple aspects of life" a turnoff for guys?

I dress pretty normal. T and jeans and sneakers. I am extremely sporty, (x-country, soccer, la-x, etc. ) however, I hang out with the clique known as emo and personality wise I am a bit emo. When ever I start to connect to guy in one of these commons grounds it's all good. The problem comes when we talk about another area. I've had guys say I'm totally whack, bipolar, etc. Is it me, or just a bunch of jerky guys?
