I wouldn't call myself shy around women but I really don't have much experience in the area of dating and what not. Basically I want to know how can you "flirt" with a girl without being unbelievably obvious, like for example constantly touching them on the arm for example. Just like you said, make eye contact. Even when you aren't talking. Be funny and give her more attention than you would to your female friends. Try not to make jokes that might be insulting. Compliment on her outfit or if you can tell she's wearing perfume, tell her she smells nice. If you have gotten to know her, ask for her number or be less obvious by asking her if she has yours from some other time. Hopefully she will notice some thing different and start to like you back.
