To you girls out there, why is it so important for a guy to remember names in the first 10-15 minutes of meeting one another? I could tell you about other things that are interesting about yourself but if I don't remember your name (which is a label, nothing more) you girls get upset?
I could care less if the girl forgets my name as it's not interesting or important while trying to get to know me. You should be honored if I ask for you name again because it means I may want to remember it.
Focus: Why do you girls test guys about our memory with your name?
Update: Does it make sense though that whether or not we remember your name the first time (or few times) that it doesn't correlate with us just wanting to get laid? Girls and guys both forget names but generally guys don't find it offensive or deduct points.

Hmm. I always thought that if a guy remembered the girls name it was because he obviously cared and was interested. But you're right, it is just a label and not a unique one either because thousands of people can have the same name. I guess if girls knew that guys do remember interesting things about them, unique things, they wouldn't get so upset. But hey, little details are the most important.
I guess if it's important to you guys, I'll make a conscious effort to remember the name (even if I think it's bs). I'll make sure she remembers the specs on my car (as it's as equal to the relevance of importance). - 6 months ago
I don't expect guys to remember my name in the first hour at least unless we are working together because I don't have that good of a memory so I don't expect anyone to do what I can't

I think that's just rude. If I told you my name, I'd expect you to remember it. If you don't, I'd be like "He obviously doesn't give a shit because he can't remember my name. Hm. What is he really in it for? " So basically I'd just assume that you were just trying to get some. Which is not a good look. I would get insulted and I'd deduct a LOT of points!

Pretty much we feel like our name is exactly who we are (at least most of the time) our name is what makes us different from the other blonde with blue eyes or brunette with a nice butt. Whatever, our name is like different from a label. Cause when you think label you think stereotype. A name is actually who we are. Plus it just says that you were paying attention from the moment you started talking to us.
Because most girls think that if you remember their name then you want to get to know them and if you forget it then you just want to hook up with us but then just like experienced babe said it is cute to watch you guys try to remember.
Well. To me it's not really that important. But it feel nice to know that after you have talked to a guy he will remember your name next time you see each other. Also I sometimes do it. But I only do it to see if the guy has been listening to me. I don't just ask about my name but about other things too. And its always nice to see a guy trying to remember what's the chicks name. YOU GUYS LOOK FUNNY. But then again is cute too. Also its not always about the memory thing its also a great way to find out if the guy wants to get in your pants. Cause some guys just ask questions.
