I've heard the moans and groans about watching Under the Tuscan Sun and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants but I've caught my fiancé watching the Lifetime Channel for Women long after I've left the room! Do guys secretly like chic flicks?
No secret here, at least not as far as some that I consider to be in that category: Sleepless in Seattle, Hitch, Maid in Manhattan, Return to me, Shall we Dance, Pretty Woman and the like. But some of those may be designed to cater to both genders. They also have excellent casts and soundtracks. Do those qualify? And the L Word? How many guys are into that for the plot?

Depends on the guy. Of course there is the shallow answer that the actresses are often very attractive, but on the other hand if a guy is very interested in people and relationships what better place to observe them in a chick flick!

I personally don't like them, now as far as watching them I will give my woman the preference every now and again to make her happy. They aren't horrible just not interesting. Guys who "like" them must be sensitive and like flowers and butterflies.

Some chick flicks are okay. I will generally put up with them occasionally, and I expect my woman to occasionally put up with movies that I like, that I know she can't stand.
The better chick flicks will have some side story, or something, to keep guys interested.
And as far as your fiancee watching Lifetime, sometimes they show decent movies or TV shows. I can't think of any right now, but I've seen listings on Lifetime or Oxygen, and I've thought, "that's not a chick show!"
Maybe some guys do secretly like chick flicks but not exactly all of them I'm not sure. the guys that I know watches chick flicks and they're not afraid to admit it though.
