I have to give you this quick explanation about me. Well I am tall and naturally skinny, model-like. I've always been this way. But people always called me anorexic or something even though I ate enough/a lot. But that got me to start eating more just to prove to people that I wasn't. I gained weight and now I'm just normal weight I think. People have told me that I have a really good body. But I've become very unhappy with it because of how much I heat and just because its not normal for me. Normal for me would be skinnier. Would this look bad if I lost weight? I'm not doing it for anyone else. How skinny is too skinny for tall? Or do guys like tall and normal or tall and skinny because she'd look like a hot model?
my girlfriend has the same problem. she's 5-9 and 102 lbs. before she met me she submitted to the pressure to bulk up and she hated her body. now she's back down around 100 and happy. and I am happy that she is happy. plus she has an incredible slim body that I just love and all the other girls envy. what's wrong with that. for me a girl could never be too skinny if she is healthy. some bruises on the hips are a badge of honor (wink wink) quit worrying so much, be yourself and be proud to be slim.
You seem to be a female version of myself, so I'll try to offer my perspective . Like you, I can (and usually do) eat a *lot* . I'm 5'11" and never have weighed more than 144 pounds . I can't gain a pound to save my life (once I burned off 15 pounds in a 24 hour period) . I can eat a one pound burger at Fuddruckers with fries and such and be hungry again in an hour . I do eat relatively healthy and have no thyroid problems (I've had it checked) . You're probably thinking "Yea, so what ? " .
Like you I've had others comment on my weight . In the past several years it has been, for the most part, not derogatory . However, throughout middle and high school, I was constantly made fun of which it sounds like you're experiencing . Most of it was by girls, oddly enough, not boys (they just threatened to beat the tar outta me) . What I've learned is . Just be yourself . I know that sounds trite but it's true . Eat however much makes you feel comfortable and filled . Eat what you want (though I'd suggest healthy . I myself avoid fast food just because it doesn't fill me up) .
Don't eat to make others happy . That's a dangerous path to tread down . And a slippery slope at that . You might want to have your thyroid checked though, to see if it's a contributing factor to your weight just to be on the safe side . Couldn't hurt to do so .
As for "how skinny is too skinny" . Well, from my perspective in what I find attractive is a girl to be height/weight proportionate . For example, I find that Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen gives me the heebie-jeebies . She/they are just way too skinny for my tastes . HOWEVER, personality plays a *huge* part in attractiveness . If a girl is real skinny but is very personable, kind, caring, listens to you and such, then that can make her very attractive . Conversely a girl can be stacked, "normal" build (for lack of a better term), and make guys drool by just looking at her but if her personality makes one want to jump naked into a pit of rusty razorblades, that can make her darned ugly . I would hazard to guess that this would be the general consensus among guys (at least among my friends) .
The gist of all that is that, be happy with your comfortable weight . If people make fun of you for it, well, screw 'em . They're not worth your time .
Yeah don't worry about what others say or what guys will think . Whatever you are comfortable and happy with is all that matters . You're soooo lucky though lol
I WISH I had your problem! Most girls want to be skinnier, why do you think half of us are on some kind of diet? People are probably calling you anorexic because they're jealous. If you feel you look better at your usual weight, then go back to it. I'm sure you look great.
Yea its just hard to get away from eating so much, now I feel like I got myself addicted. Once I can go back to normal I will lose weight but I've tried so much its gotten really hard =\ thanks though! - 9 months ago
The best way to lose weight and spot reduction are probably two of the biggest misconceptions in diet and exercise history. The truth is that there is no fastest way, there's only one way, diet and...
Most will tell you that Christmas is their favorite holiday, maybe even New Years or the Fourth of July. My favorite, however, is Valentines Day. A day smack in the middle of a long, cold winter that...
