Hi, I'm new here! What does it usually mean when someone said they need space? Say like a friend said that or someone you like said that, does it mean you said/did something wrong? I have a friend who said she needs space, we both know we like each other but we haven't talked for a few months. So just keep it cool and stuff until we can hang or talk I guess? At school we just say hi and outside of school, we talk and stuff. We almost got together in december, but we weren't ready yet to be bf/gf. But we haven't been communicating for the past few weeks. The last time we talked was on the 5th of this month. Before that, we didn't talk for like 2 months. Why did that happen? I'm just curious. Ok, we're both 16 years old. It's been a few days/weeks now(5/31/07) and she still hasn't replied to my text or email. I'm having a friend help me with this.
Well what she means is that she wants to be alone for awhile like when you were a kid and some one told you to go sit in the corner but you didn't want to well its opposite with your friend she does want to sit in a corner alone maybe something bad happened you should ask and if she ignores you wait a few days

Maybe she has stuff going on with her emotionaly and family wise and don't want you in the middle of or she's just not ready to take the bf/gf step with you yet, but I hope you can work it out.

I don't mean to sound mean but, she might not be as serious as you. If you have feelings for her, you should tell her because this limbo stage you guys are in is confusing. Chances are she doesn't know where you stand and is pushing you away and keeping you hanging at the same time. Sounds like you need to be straight up and ask her how she feels. Good luck =)

Need space doesn't necessarily mean that they don't want to talk ever again it means they need time to think about other things off the subject. And it means they need to clear their mind. Back off, give her space and let he cool off then it should go back to normal sooner than later.

This is a hard question because we don't really know what's going on with the other person. Maybe it really isn't you and they are just going through something right now. Maybe they want more than you want or maybe they're afraid that they will ruin the relationship. The best thing you can do is talk to this person and ask them what's up. I know it's not easy but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do especially if you don't want to lose this person. Silence will kill a relationship everytime.
She's not into you (much) and wants you to back off. Or at least stay backed off for now until she's ready.
She does kind of like you though and doesn't want to be your enemy or hurt you or anything like that.
So, if you can't move on and treat her the way she treats you, you're in for some unrequited love for a while, maybe forever. Much better to take her advice and "keep it cool. " If you want a girlfriend, find someone else who is into you. Again, you can keep it cool with girl #1 and someday, maybe, you'll be ready to be on the same page and so start your romance then.
Needing space usually means there being suffocated by another persons presence and the other person needs time alone to think stuff over or clear their mind of something.

From my experience...either he is into somebody else or you're being clingy and suffocating him. Hopefully it's neither of those but in most cases.....? Good luck
