My boyfriend's birthday is coming up really soon and I wanted to do something cool for him this year, so I bought him a PlayStation 2. I want to give him a really good game along with it, and he's a big football fan so I'm going back and forth between Madden NFL 10 and NCAA Football 2010. Can some guys who have played these tell me which is the better, more impressive game? Also, some recommendations for other good games? (Please keep in mind we live together with our daughter, who is very young, so the games need to be fairly "clean" of violence, gore, and so on.)
Update: Okay, question solved. I very cleverly did a little fishing by talking to one of his friends and found out that he prefers Madden. Thank you, all of you, for all of your help. I can still use suggestions for other games as well :)

If he likes college football, get him NCAA football. If not, get Madden. Madden is the better of the two games though. For other games, you could get racing games (i.e Need for Speed, Gran Turismo, and Burnout), Fight Night Round 4, Guitar Hero, Ratchet & Clank, and Kingdom Hearts all depending on his preferences. I'll probably think of others later. All of the ones I listed are games that are in a series just to give some ideas.
My favorite ps2 games were Star Wars Battlefront 2 and God of War 1 & 2. God of War is much too violent though.
I have heard little of NCAA. Most of the people I know who play football games say Madden is great. I don't enjoy sports games, racing aside, a whole ton, and have never played either. But Madden is what I hear about most, always good.
