I worked up a big surprise for my girlfriend on Valentines Day. For once I was sure I would not disappoint. I arrived at her house and told her I had made reservations at a fancy steak restaurant. Instead of being excited she freaked out because she said there was no way for her to get ready in time. Why can't I do anything right? What can I do?
Yeah, girls really care about how they look. I'm sure she appreciated the gesture, but give her a head's up next time. That, or plan to take her shopping for a nice outfit and make an appointment to get her hair and makeup done before the dinner if you want it to be a true surprise.
You should have told her before you got there and when was she going to be ready next time let her know ahead of time so she could be ready by the time you get there.
