just in general if you would like to please answer was there a time when a guy or a girl might have said something to you that you might have taken it as an offense? I'll start there was one guy who called me feisty and I honestly hate being called that I think of it as a diss! comment, answer if you'd like and thanks for your time!
I absolutely hate being called "nice." Besides it being the most unoriginal compliment in the world. I would rather someone jokingly call me a pompous ass-clown. Like, if I hold the door open for someone, I only did it because you were probably right behind me. I know I did something nice. tell me something I don't know. And this is different than being labeled as the nice guy. But that pisses me off in a similar way. Because if you think about it, everybody tends to be nice.
Honestly, I've hung out with women that are so dim their mere existence offends me.
This one time I bought a girl a drink and made some joke involving Abraham Lincoln (dont ask me what it was, I don't remember. I was completely wasted)
She replied with, "Lincoln. isn't he that guy on the 1$ bill?"
I thought, "Either this girl has pulled the wool over my eyes and said one of the greatest sarcastic comments of all time. or is the dumbest person on the face of the earth"
As she continued to stare at me blankly, I realized that she was 100% serious.
Needless to say she was one taco short of a combo plate.
From that moment on I gave up on meeting women in college bars :(
I have girls usually call me "funny" as in,your so funny.,however, after hearing the comment so many times, I believe that I don't take it as a compliment anymore,
As big-headed as it seems, the best way I can describe the way it makes me feel is like if you met Cuba Gooding Jr. and said "You are so great" and he replied with "What was your favorite film of mine?" and then you drew a blank.,The celebrity is annoyed with what they perceive as an empty compliment.,people mean what they say, but there are other people in the world who don't want to hear it anymore.,
*Note* feisty can be good or bad depending on context and who is delivering the line to you, but if you don't like being called that, than it's just preference,I don't like sweet relish, but that doesn't mean that I'm not tasting it correctly.
-Cute. Don't call me cute. I'm not a child or a puppy. -Articulate. No, I talk like I have an education. Why would this surprise you? -Smart. I don't like it when a guy calls me smart. I feel like the "smart chick", and the smart chick isn't exactly the most desirable one.
cute over here nobody uses the word cute unless they mean you look about six and your nice looking but not for me! so I hate been called cute happens a lot so annoying. oh and I got told id a big arse at the time got so annoyed but now I'm like yeah thanks!
Smart. I'm sick of being called smart in that way that means "not worth my trouble." That's incredibly annoying. I mean I know there's worse things to be called, but there's a certain way that it's said that makes it just as bad as anything.
I find the term 'baby' slightly insulting especially when it comes from a guy you aren't even seriously dating. I can tolerate other names like 'hun'...
