Experiences as in.? Dating? Parties? Life on campus?
My college years were a blast. If you live on campus then you're gonna have a great time. I learned a lot of responsibility. Sure I had my share of parties and hosted a few myself but I really kept my nose in my books. A lot of kids go absolutely crazy as soon as they get on campus because they felt like they needed to break away from their high school days. I never really did anything out of the norm. My roommate and I had a dorm room mascot of course (it was a traffic cone). I pranked him a few times. Once I taped twizzlers all over the room. Met a few nice girls, had a couple dates, nothing serious though. I would walk by classrooms sometimes and if I saw or heard something I liked I would just walk in and sit down. I took half a semester of Tai Chi just by walking in and asking the Prof if I could join in. I really got to learn about a lot of things that interested me.
But if you're on your way to college just remember some things. If you can't bring your car on campus find someone who can or has one. Make friends with them. Find a computer nerd on your floor/building. Make GOOD friends with him/her. And finally make REALLY good friends with the cooks. Free food and first pick at the best grub. And if you and your roomy don't get along find a new one. College is so much better with a good roommate. Hope you enjoy college life!
I just finished my freshman year, and I don't live on campus so my advice is to join clubs and get involved. And don't limit yourself to one group of people. A lot of people just hang out with their roommates or people on their floor, but there are thousands of other students on campus.
And just a random tip, instead of using an alarm clock that pisses off your roommates every morning, set the alarm on your phone and put it under your pillow--you'll feel it vibrating when it goes off.
