Okay so, I've never shaved DOWN THERE before. And I want to start, I did not yesterday but the day before that and I got bumps, and even little cuts that hurt! I did again today, and ugh, more cuts! I need tips on what cream/soap to use, razors? Any good tips to keep away small stubs I can't get? For those who are experienced and know what works and what doesn't, please help!
Waxing always works better - when you have it professionally done. The hair will stay away for longer, it will probably be smoother, and you don't have the risk of getting razor burn or ingrowing hairs. But yes - it can be expensive and painful; and you have to wait a while between having it waxed so it grows to a suitable length. Hair removal creams are good - but can burn. Veet® Rasera™ Bladeless™ Kit is good - you don't have the risk of getting cuts. Make sure you of course do a test on your skin, read the instructions carefully and keep away from the genital area - only for the bikini line.
Shaving. Body shaving is best achieved if these basic rules are followed.
- Wash the skin first with warm, not hot, not cold, water so that the skin is very clean. - Stand in the bathtub so you don’t make a mess. -Use a new blade or new disposable razor. The sharper it is the less it will nick. -Let the shaving gel work on the skin before beginning the shave. -Do a section at a time, not the whole body at once! -Pull loose skin taut with the fingers of the hand that isn’t holding the razor. -Don’t press! The lightest touch will shave just as close as a dig but will be less likely to cut the skin. You can shave the labia without much danger of nicks and cuts, as long as you’re gentle with that blade. Use the fingertips of your other hand to feel for missed stubble. Repeat as soon as you can feel a re-growth. If you get razor bumps, exfoliate with a wet warm washcloth. - just make sure the cream or gel you use doesn't say anything about being dangerous to genitalia.
My girlfriend shaves herself in that area once in a while for something different. She trims it really short first with a woman's electric razor, and then she uses shaving cream in the shower. She does not press down very hard with the razor because it's sensitive down there! You can probably use stuff like Nair, but be careful because it can burn you if you get it inside of you - like where you pee or inside your vagina. You could probably shave it really low with an electric razor and then be very careful and gentle as you are shaving it!
um, maybe I am getting into hot watter for being a guy and even bring it up, (for the record I am straight not gay) hair in "the forbidden zone) once it get beyond a certain length, get annoying, itchy and just uncomfortable, so once every 4 months I do the disgusting task of "NAIR my balls" no scratches, no damage. and does feel good for a few weeks after. the good news is I don't have a girlfriend so I don't have to explain why I got hairless reigon down there! LOL
For girls though it can be a little more difficult when it comes to nair, our skin is a bit different down there and gets agitated so easily. I don't know if I want to keep shaving it, lol. Just keep it controlled like I did before. I just had a experience with a guy, who put me self-esteem down a couple notches because of it. - 6 months ago
okay waxing def works better. isn't as painful as it sounds. depending on your tolerance for pain. take a razor and use it a few times so its not brand new and the blades aren't as sharp and then shave yourself. use conditioner or an skintimate shaving cream. the bumps are just from razor burn. you don't have to push that hard to shave it. don't do it right after you shaved because its still like stubble and its going to hurt and cut you. I personally wait about 3 to 4 days until its about a cm long then I shave. sometimes ill wait even longer so its really smooth. just make sure you use conditioner and let the razor be used a few times before.
uff.i know what ur talking about. well sorta.i'm scared to let my boyfriend get close to that area. I'm scared he might be mean about it even though he says he loves me. I'm scared it might change how he feels about me. I shave a little, but it gets ugly looking after a day or two. I don't really have the money for a wax, so I shave it and I get some ingrown hairs, but once I get the money I want to get a wax. although it might be painful and a little embarrassing having someone you don't know look at your area, I think it will make you feel more confident about yourself.many guys like it clean. but I guess.it's how you feel about it.u should be confortable in your own skin.ya know.?
if the razor is new then you will get cut but if it is not new but not old then it is perfect save it one in a wheal not all the time and do what you think is good
You're not meant to shave down there! You should only shave/wax around your bikini line, no more! If you continue to do this it could result in ingrown hairs and other disasters!
Ugh, great. I guess I just feel self-conscious about not shaving down here. Since most guys I talk to say they like girls shaved, they think its gross if you don't =/ - 6 months ago
Well as long as its not like out of control its not a big deal. - 6 months ago
