I have had my period for 2 years in december. Well I never had cramps that bad. I mean I had them but I could easily ignore them and go on with my daily life. Well the last period my cramps were awful. I cried they were so bad. I used the heating pad but that didn't really help. I took some aspirin but it only helped for a little bit. Well I got my period again today and I have cramps again. These aren't as worse as last time but they still hurt like heck. I don't want to go on birth control or any other kind of thing like that. Is there a simple way I can help make them better? And since I am having them bad now, doesn that mean they will be like this the rest of my life?
Staying active and drinking a lot of water is supposed to help with cramps. And this is a pretty random remedy that I try when I'm desperate because nothing else is working--chocolate. I don't know what it is about chocolate, but it helps.
Having bad cramps now doesn't necessarily mean that you'll always have them. It's genetic for the most part. If your mother has always gotten really bad cramps, there's a good chance you will too. But you've only had your period for about a year and a half--your body doesn't start to regulate itself until around four years.
sometimes you just gotta lay down and put the heating pad on. or I like to lay in the bath cause the heat feels good and you can lay down. do you legs ever hurt? my hurt like heck! jw if I'm the only person.
You're not the only person, my legs feel that way too. But not as much as my hips! I hate that. - 4 months ago

You can try advil or drink a lot of water before and during your period. Its not gonna hurt too much if you try stretching yourself upward and then down again.
Staying active and drinking a lot of water helps a lot. Also you can take Motrin or Ibuprofen. And no it doesn't mean they will always be like that. I used to have horrible cramps and back aches but the more active I was the better they got so now when my period comes back my cramps aren't as bad.
This was exactly how I was. When I first started getting it for about the first year and a half everything was fine but one day when I started It was so bad I was bending over in pain in the middle of the hall trying not to puke. After that It just stayed that way. Most likely you will be that way for the rest of your life. I just started birthcontrol a couple days ago so I can't tell you how well it helps but people I've known that have taken birthcontrol for periods said it halped alot. For me there was one way to make them better and it was taking midol but come to find out I can't take it becuase I had an allergic reaction to it =/ but it worked amazingly! I went from feeling like a 1 with energy to a 10 and all of my symptoms went away. I hope I helped!
