I'm 13 and trying to lose weight. I am on the borderline if being overweight so I need some help to do this. Can someone please tell me how to exercise and eat properly? Note: I DO NOT eat any junk food, and I always eat vegetables and fruits.
Update: For the person who asked, I eat 2.5 times a day. Two meals and a piece of fruit at about 5 - for dinner.

First of all you should still be having three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try to portion control your meals, drink lots of water (8 glasses a day) it makes you feel fuller. Use smaller plates and fill them with your meal (it tricks the mind into thinking your eating more and that your full quicker) No junk food is good, skim milk (you need milk), fruits and veggies also good. And of course exercise: join sports teams, find a buddy who will work out with you. If you stay on schedule eventually you will lose weight, but at younger ages we tend to go through our chubby/awkward phases and only time may change your appearance. Still do all of these things for the number one reason : HEALTH.
How about running.Or going to Valley Fitness.That could work. Okay now answer this:how many times do you eat a day? The amount of times to eat a day should be 3 but I say 2. Well because after dinner usually people just pick up their plates and wash them and go brush their teeth and go to bed or at least something like that. So I hope that my advise helps yo decide what your gonna do.

First of all - good job for realizing you want to take care of yourself.
At 13, you might have some of what's called "baby fat" (I had that...I HATED that term) but it's extra weight that you will be growing into, that your body needs in order for you to grow. This is usually in your tummy and hips area. So, don't try to lose that, just cover it up if that's the case.
Otherwise, you should start exercising 3-4 times a week. Jog for 20 minutes and spend about 10 minutes doing push-ups, sit-ups, leg lunges, etc. Working up a sweat will help you burn any fat, doing push ups and such will build muscle tone.
