no, they don't dry me up. but then again am a guy and I never tried them. lol. jk.

ok a question like that you might be able to have an answer from www.webmd.com. and you can find more answer from related websites.

even better, any medication will have a section on the bottle for the side effects. check those 2.

Normal birth control has hormones that can cause your libido to be lowered. I was on hormonal birth control for over 4 years and my libido was lowered. I am naturally sex crazed so I went from wanting it 3 times a day to 3 times a week. Now I have changed birth control to a non hormonal and more effective method. I am hornier than ever! Not only do I wanna have sex at least 3 times a day but I can't stop fantasising about any man I get close to. I feel like I am thinking about sex more than any man I know. It is crazy like all the horniness built up over the four years and is coming to the surface now. If you are worried about libido you should look into birth control methods that don't use hormones. Just tell your man it isn't like you are going to dry up and become dusty. It just takes a little more to get you ready. Just keep some tasty lube close by and you will be fine.

kafkaesque If you don't mind my asking what non hormonal BC did you switch to? - A month ago
Answerer I switched to a copper IUD. It is like the Mirena you see on commercials but instead of low dose hormones it is wrapped in thin copper and will last for ten years. It stops the sperm from reaching the egg and is as successful than tubal ligation. - A month ago
kafkaesque Thank you!

Answerer Beware it is very painful at first if you haven't had children but the pain goes away within a week and it is well worth it in the end. - A month ago

It could be true. It depends on the side effects and how your body reacts to the birth control. I would ask your gyno about it as every method has it's own side effects and it's good to know all the risks and whatnot. If you do get a bit dry you could start using KY or other lubricants. That helps out too.
