Ok so I'm almost a week late. The only time I have never been late is when I was on birth control (weird right?). My husband has been deployed going on 4 months and I swear on his life I haven't cheated. I did just start working, but it's not stressful. I'm actually really enjoying my work! And my eating habits haven't changed in any way. I'm really worried.
Update: I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to make sure nothing is wrong. I get paranoid about things like that. It just has me worried because the only time I've ever completely skipped a period was back in 8th grade when I had JUST started.

The odd thing is sometimes girls who are roomates or a girls on the same basketball team (or any sport team) will magically adjust to be on the same cycle. That means the one who is adjusting to be in synchronism with the other girl's cycle gets the few weeks or few days of fear. The one girl who is adjusting should almost tell the other girl "thank you for scaring the shit out if me."
Do you have a female coworker or friend who you spend a lot of time with? This is one possible theory that explains your delayed vist by aunt flow.
Did you just recently go off the pill? If you did then your body is adjusting to life without the pill. If you period doesn't return to normal within 3 months then you should see a doctor.
I stopped taking birth control in June right after hubby left. Since then it hasn't been too irregular, just lighter than usual. - A month ago

It sounds like body adjustment to not taking the pill now. Your responses to others seems to indicate that you were on the wrong type of pill......either too low or too high a dosage. - A month ago
Being one week late's not a huge deal - sometimes girls just skip periods. Also, remember that excitement is a form of stress - even if your job isn't horrible, the fact that you just started it could affect your period. Maybe you're moving a lot more now or sleeping less, and your body's a little confused. It could be anything causing it.
BUT if your period doesn't come back (in, like, 2 months), see a doctor. Sometimes a period that disappears is a sign of a much worse problem, you know? If it really has you freaked, go sooner.
That has happend to me it is probably because either you went somewhere foreign or new like a vacation or you are in a lot of stress right now and that is why your period is late. I actually got scared too because my period was one month late and that's what the womens clinic told me that the possibilities could be of missing a period. Sounds like your not pregnant don't worry too much it should come by soon.
see! any change in ur life could affect ur period.maybe you feel it's ok I mean ur new job but ur inner feelings z that u're worried a little bit.even being a little bit worried would affect ur period. and of course u'd never be late when u're using the pill.thats what its used 4.2 get ur period organized and in order in a way you won't get pregnant by (unless you forget or miss a pill) .i think you should take a home pregnancy test just in case.
The pill did the opposite with me...it made it irregular which was really odd. Could have been the kind I was taking. - A month ago

I think you should hv some tests done ...am sure its nothing's scary ...our bodies usually skip or delay having period if ur blood level z low...maybe u're not eating well or u're anemic and you don't know it yet...am anemic and usually when am late its caz it's lower than the usual...so I just take iron pills or adjust my diet and eat more greens and veg.z dont worry...but I think you should check - A month ago
Am I to assume that you're no longer on birth control? And you said you haven't been with your husband in 4 months? It's not unusual to to be a week late. It could be any number of things: stress, anxiety, weight loss, the occassional hormonal imbalance, drugs, smoking, etc. If you haven't been sexually active in 4 months, then I think there's no reason to panic because you will get your period sooner or later. If it's bothering you so much, see your doctor. But really, it's not that unusual to have late periods even for someone who isn't sexually active.
Hmm I never heard of that happening to someone who hasn't been sexually active. And yeah I'm not on BC anymore. I went off as soon as hubby left to give my system a year to clean out because we're gonna TCC when he gets home for good. I don't take any medications, except for the occasional tylenol and I don't smoke and hardly drink, which is why I'm so confused. But deployments are an emotional rollarcoaster so that could help. - A month ago

Some girls have irregular, unpredictable periods whether they are sexually active eor not; so it's not that unusual or alarming. But since you've started working, it might have affected your hormones in some way. Emotion can affect your cycle as well. I wouldn't worry too much about it though. Give it a week. If you don't get it within 7 days, I'd advise you to call your doctor. But remember, if you're stressing over it...hence the stress? lol It's all gonna be alright. :) - A month ago
Question Asker
You know what your probably right. If I just relax and just let it come then maybe it will lol. I haven't worked in almost a year so that's probably what is throwing me off. Thanks - A month ago
Well it could be because you just started working out, that can make you miss your period. And I will say this, I was missing my period for a week, I just got her monday night. the reason (stress for one, and 2 I had a infection). So it could be any three. Just give it a few more days if you haven't cheated then you know for a fact you are not pregnant
I hope someone can help me with these I'm 2 weeks late on my period I went to the doc in I'm not pregnant I did a test yesterday I waited 2 weeks to...
