My girlfriend wants to get married sooner than later because she is worried the longer we wait, and consequently the longer we wait to have a child, the more health risks will be involved. She is 25 years old now. At what age will you start to have serious concerns (not looking for medical advice, just your own personal feelings on the subject matter).

I'm always worried about stuff like that so it's just a normal part of being a girl you got to remember that we are very protective of out children and children to be.

They normally worry when they are 35/40, that's the most likely age for a woman to miscarry.
When they are in their 20s the chance for miscarriage is about 15%. But when they get older the chances grow to about 20-25%.

From what I've been told It's not uncommon for women over the age of 30/32 ish...somewhere in that region to miscarry. its not necessarily like a 2/3 chance she will. It's just more likely than when she's in her twenties. That's really all I know about the matter. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Best of luck to you two.

That's a great question because I think some women will say that in order to get the ball rolling even when they aren't really that worried about pregnancy complications. (She may be different, you know her best :) I would not worry about actual complications until I was in my 40's.

However, I do think about how old I'll be when the kid is in their teens and early twenties. I don't want to stand at their college graduation ceremony with an oxygen tank. I don't want to hold my first grandchild and have my dentures fall out on the baby's head. So...I'd say if I'm not knocked up by 35, I might just stick with having pets.

Question Asker Thanks for your feedback...I didn't think about the second aspect you brought up. She might be less willing to admit that is one of her reasons, but I think it's valid. Everybody wants to be a hot soccer mom, right? - 10 months ago
