It is not likely that he is looking for something longer. Some things take more investments money or time-wise. Building a relationship takes time and effort for example. Whereas, if you prefer spending a few grand on a hot-tub, you are more likely investing on a much faster return a.k.a. one night stand!
It depends on the guy. Hot tubbing could be completely innocent but most likely he's looking for something whether it's a one night thing or a few nights if he can get it.
