So, I'm a college student and I take a bunch of academic classes just to keep my "skills sharp" I guess you could say. So, there's this kid that sits next to me in math class and he's always so negative. He's always rolling his eyes at people never smiling always telling the teacher "I can't do it. " I've noticed when he sits next to me he literally pours cologne on himself and stares at me and it's annoying. I don't like him. I'm not attracted to him because his personality sucks. But why does he ALWAYS stare!? Last Monday I gave my friend my phone number and told her to call me if she needed help with any math. I saw him write down my number on his paper he was doing math on. Ugh. He creeps me out. Why is he like this?
He has no confidence and he apparently only knows one way to get attention. He probably also has no experience but he's trying the only way he knows how. If he doesn't talk to you, I don't see why you should talk to him. Just sit somewhere else from now on.
Well I'd say he has really low self esteem, I think he's really scared because he likes you but he doesn't know what to do. He's probably really shy. My advice would be to at least be somewhat nice to him. Even if you hate him, I mean he likes you. That's flattering for anyone even if he's not really your type. But if you really can't stand him just ignore him and eventually he'll get the point. But you are in college and I don't think giving anyone the silent treatment is mature. I'm not sure if your the type to do that, but I'm wishing you all the very best. I hope everything works out.

He has both low confidence and high confidence maybe that's just his way of asking you to be his study buddy. Find a different seat or just give him a piece of your mind
