Ok, here's the situation. If I go into great length it'll be a million words. there was this guy I knew and I found out that he attended seminars on how to control and manipulate women. And, these seminars are about treating women like crap to get them to do what you want. They also read books on this, and web stuff. Anyway, he strings along a bunch of girls all at the same time, lying and manipulating along the way. Telling each of them different things in order to suit the girl. I happen to find out after I was no longer involved with him. Also, this guy I since found out is heavy into psychedelic drugs and smokes a lot of marijuana. Part of me thinks this is borderline criminal, but, I guess I would like some honest views here. Thanks.

Yes, there are seminars like this. Yes, some of these dill-holes actually pay money to find out what most people already know -- many women are attracted to men that treat them like crap. It's unfortunate, but it's true.
What I would do is contact all the women you know that he's seeing and tell them the truth, if you know who they are and can get their information. Then I would tell them all to contact the other women that he's seeing and compare notes.
Also, his drug useage isn't borderline criminal, it IS criminal. But you handle that aspect of it any way you want to. Normally, I would never promote retribution against anyone that has treated other people badly, but this guy needs a swift kick in the pants . . . or a hard one to the groin.

I honestly don't have any pick-up lines really, I may flirt a little to see if the girl flirts back, and I'll then just ask if she wants to do something with me on the weekend.

It depends, sometimes they'll flirt back then turn me down, usually though they flirt back and we end up dating
