Would you guy's lie to a girl and tell her you are interested in her when you are not?

No, it is a selfish act. Most I believe try to protect how they will feel when the girl will react adversely to the news. A girl crying is my kryptonite. I don't know what it is but when a girl cries I turn into jello and fold.

Besides, leading her on does not do anybody any favors as eventually she will still feel hurt so treat it like a band-aid, don't peel it away slowly. Just yank it off. It will hurt but definitely not as bad as the slow method.

Personally, I wouldn't. I won't act cold to a girl that's being overly friendly, but if she asks me if I'm interested in a relationship, I'd flat-out tell her no. It's much less painful for both parties in the long run.

I think they are split on this issue. I had a friend who convinced this one girl that he was her boyfriend, even though all his friends know he never wanted her as a girlfriend and was only acting to make her feel happy. Some other guys are more blunt, and they'll just say go away.

I wouldn't lie just to protect her feelings, if a girl wants me and I have no interest in her, then I'd just tell her to be my friend.
