I've been with my boyfriend for a little over a year now. In the beginning I was head over heels but now that I'm really starting to consider him as a lifetime partner, I'm beginning to realize that he's not smart enough for me nor is he all that funny. However, he is kind, sensitive, forgiving, honest, gets me more than anyone and all the other qualities I'm looking for in a man. I recently decided to go on a break but it was so hard for me to do. I need to know he's the one for me but I don't know if I can sacrifice 50% of what I want in a man. What should I do?
Its not 50% of what you want in a man, because if you find someone that is 100% perfect, you will be the first person in the history of mankind to do so. First of all you need to realize that once the "honeymoon" phase is over in a relationship, which can last anywhere from 1 month-1 year, couples beginning to notice all of the tiny things of a relationship. Nobody is perfect. Every one has great qualities and everyone has their annoying little habits. The key is decide if the good out weighs the bad and if you can live with the bad. For example, if he is a wonderful, nice sensitive guy, but he is a heroin addict, you may want to find someone else. But if he is all these things, and he may not be as funny as he used to be, maybe he is the one for you. Think of your favorite comedy. The first time you see it you laugh your ass off, but the 10th time you see it, its still funny, but you can watch the whole thing without cracking a smile. Going on a break may be tough for both of you, but it could be the best thing you ever did for both you and your relationship. During this time you will realize whether you can live with the little things you don't like or not. Just make sure that you are completely honest with him and don't make him wait to long. Look deep inside yourself during this time. You know what the answer is, but I'm sure you are just second guessing yourself. Listen to your heart and that little voice inside your head, because its right 99. 9% of the time.
But as far as liking the guy, when did you first realize that he wasn't funny or as smart as you'd like him to be? What initially attracted you to him?
This is totally up to you, because you have to decide if you want to spend the rest of your life with him. No one is perfect and finding the guy with all the qualities you like probably not going to happen. Maybe you should think what if I never got back with him would I regret it, or am I willing to see what else is out there? Best of luck!
Well if I was you I would let him do what he want`s to do like going out with his friend`s and you should go out with your friend`s but it look`s as if you can`t trust him I am not saying you can`t cause maybe you can right but I had this yesterday and the girlfriend couldn't trust her boyfriend but they had been 2gether over 18months yes well everyone is like that with boyfriend`s and lad`s with there girlfriend`s do you understand what I am saying to you yes thank you very much for choosing me for to help you I am here for you again if you need more help.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
- Excuse me Miss, I was watching you from over there and I have to say that I just love your smile. It makes me happy just to just sit and watch you smiling. Could you please do that again?
(she hopefully smiles and gives up a sweet happy laugh)
- Oh dear, you just made my day - both a lovely smile and a lovely laughter! Thanks for making my day, Miss.
How do they typically respond?
Well, to be honest I haven't tried it yet since I almost never go out nowadays, but I wouldn't hesitate it I was to be in this situation. The way I do it, I would not be pushy or anything. After my last comment I would probably leave her for now, but try to bump in to her again later that evening, smile and ask for that lovely laugh again. And then maybe, we can start to have a conversation.
