There's a guy (let's call him George) at my school who is pretty nice to me and I know he likes me (for sure) from other friends and the way he acts around me . But I like another guy who I might be going out with soon . How should I let down George nicely if he does ask me out and how can I make it appear I'm not interested in him ?
Update: I used to like George a long time ago but he's changed a lot since then and his personality is no longer attractive . I'm interested in another guy now .

I need more info - are you not interested now, or have you never been, or do you just want him to think you aren't, but you are, because you are going after this other guy, and you want to be a "good girl" ?
Hmm, I don't think there's really anything you can say that will work the way you want it to - all you can do is thank him for asking you out, say your cool guy, but I'm not into you like that, please don't hate me and don't let me stop you from asking other girls out .
There is no such thing as a nice let down . What works best is the truth . Its like a removing a band aid, it hurts but at least you do it quickly instead of peeling it off slowly by giving him a "nice" excuse which most likely will insult his intelligence . Neither man nor woman is that stupid to take in most of the "nice" let-downs that are laced upon them . At the end of day, the pain and heartache is the same .
Well don't lie to "george . " Don't tell him that you're not looking for a relationship . Because if you say that, and the next day he sees you with the guy you like, then he will know you were lying and probably call you names . I would tell him that you kind of have something in the works with another guy, and you're not the type of girl to play games and go from guy to guy . If you might like him, tell him that you'd love to be friends with him, get to know him better and who knows, maybe down the road something might happen .
I say go for the sure thing go out with George give him a chance . If you don't think it'll work out go with the other guy . Your still young,and immature you'll find out the 1-painful lesson . Every woman learned it's tough to find a nice guy anymore . And someday you may look back and wonder what if ?
