I already showed this guy how much I'm crazy about him to the point that after just one date I went and bought him a whole outfit. Now he's playing this game where he only texts me saying how much he's missed for the day me but he won't call to talk to me. Did he lose his interest in me? Did I look too desperate? Play hard to get and you're likely to lose a lot of good guys. There is a big difference between hard to get and not stuffing him. Sounds like you like him so let him show you. Just don't go overboard with gifts and affection without a return. All you can do is wait it out for now.
Maybe he's playing hard to get... if he's texting you, I think he's still interested. He just wants you to call him instead... maybe... Maybe you did come off too strong, I'm not sure what he thinks. Call him and ask him. Be open... and hold off with being too physical, because it can get old fast if there's no mental connection between you two.

First go to a nice dinner. Someplace really nice like olive garden. Then go to a nice coffee house for some coffee and chat, followed by throwing a blanket down and laying under the stars and just looking at them and chatting. Then I would take you home and give you a kiss goodnight old fashioned style.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
Well as we are chatting over coffee we will probably talk about favorite hobbies, music, movies, stuff like that.
