I was with this guy for 2 years, the longest relationship I've really had, as my relationships tend not to last so long. In august 2007 though, he moved to Canada and, because I was 15, I couldn't go with him. After over half a year I'm still not over him and he's not over me. We talk as often as possible and he's coming over this year. But the thing is, I can't wait for years for him to come back or for us to meet up again somehow and start a new relationship.
I have dated other people but it isn't right and now I'm just worried that if I wait I might get bored or he might not come back. He's also my best friend as well, and I would never want to hurt him.
So really, should I wait or not? And if not, how do I move on?
If you don't feel like waiting for him, then date other guys and move on. Only you can make the decision to wait for him. From the sound of your question, I'm thinking you would be happier moving on. He may be a little hurt, but at least you would be honest with him.
