Long-distance relationships, do they work? Or does it put the relationship under strain and eventually result in a split? Have you ever had any relationships that worked?
I am in a long distance relationship right now Actually non of us know when we will get together again it might take months or maybe 1 or 2 or maybe 3 years and we both know that. So what I am saying is both of you should have the will to wait. And if you have this thought in your mind that guys can't survive long distance relationships I say you're wrong there is...It just depends on the guy. So what I say is always to try new stuff, express your feelings to him everyday, talk about your fantasies and what do you plan to do when you meet, places to go your intimate moments together. Long Distance relationships Works...But it just need more time and hard work, Because you have the touching sense that is missing so you have to make it up by working on your words more. PS: To kill the Routine, play some games online sometimes, talk on the phone, play games over the phone...
I'm actually in the same position as you. I don't know when he will be coming back. It could be at a minimum of half a year to a maximum of 4 years. The reason why I am so worried is because I had a long distance relationship before, but after 2 months the guy I was with cheated on me and I don't really want that to happen again. This guy has never been unfaithful before and I doubt he would. But because of what has happened before I keep thinking that it might happen again. - 5 months ago

You know you can never kill this feeling of worry! It will always be around. That's why you need to try not to think about it as much as you can. you're last LDR maybe was a failure but I'm telling you not all the guys are the same, there is guys out there that try to give as much as they can for to make their long distance relationship works. Yea I'm in one right now it depends on the couple I know the one I love is the only one for me. so now that we are together its like Ive lost all interest in other women. it just depends on your mans will power when your away. so yea they can work
Yes, they can work, but both of you have to make them work. If only one of you is trying to keep it together, the relationship is doomed from the start. I am in a long distance relationship with the love of my life now, so I definitely feel your pain. You have to communicate constantly. We do emails every day, along with IM and phone calls. And the most important thing is to stay faithful. Its hard; temptation is always out there! But if you really love them, you can do it!

I agree with lovebird01. it depends how bad you & your partner want it. If you both are serious about it you can make it work! Its all about effort to me. If 1 person isn't making effort then it just won't work. Sad but true. Its also about how much faith trust & self confidence you have. You gotta have trust if not its doomed to fail, faith in your partner that they love you won't cheat on you and that they trust you, self confidence because you have to know that you can handle this type of relationship & fight temptation of cheating. I know a few people who have had relationships that have failed and worked. You gotta put in a lot of work but if you love the person it should be all worth it.
Long distance relationships are very hard. I've been in 3, and they've all be wrought with challenges and hurt. And by this, I mean it is very hard to care about someone, and be so far away from them for so long.
The only way I could even imagine long distance relationships working, is if you knew there was going to be some end in sight. Like if it was going to be long distance for a month, or six months. But at least you knew when the end was.
Long distance relationships only work as long as both partners are willing to put in the care, effort, and time to make them work. As soon as one is no longer willing to put in effort, then there will be trouble. I also think the best and most successful long distance relationships start with a good foundation prior to the long distance.
I have been with my boyfriend for over a year, he lives 5 hours away and it's the best relationship either of us have ever had. We see each other once or twice a month on weekends when we can both get them off and if there's ever a time we don't see each other for a month or two at a time, we email and call constantly. Even when he does come up here to see me every weekend, we still write emails during the week to let the other know we miss them.
Long distance relationships only work if you stay in contact with each other. I was in one once and it ended because he never contacted me and I had to rely on what my friends said
I was in a long distance relationship for a year and yes they do work if your willing to make it work. But you do have to make time to see each other. That's what him and I did. Good luck.

Hair is usually left out in big loose curls and my makeup consists of: clear lip gloss, curled lashes with black mascara and maybe a touch of bronzer.
