I love the Mitch Hedberg skit and he says: I hate turtlenecks, it's like a really, really weak guy is trying to strangle me, Why? I'll stick to my v-necks, give the neck some freedom!" Lol, Mitch is awesome.
And if a muscular guy is to wear a turtle neck, and he has really broad shoulders, the he usually gives it a funny look. Don't do that, lol.
And I also think of the scrubs episode where J.D. is ashamed that someone pointed out that he has a slightly larger than normal size adams apple and he gets self conscious, and he wears a turtleneck to cover it - but he is hiding something, that's the point there.00 Reply

Kinda gay. What am I talking about I just wore one like a few months ago. I don't know dude, in public I felt kind a gay with it on, haven't worn one since. If David Beckham wore one I think he'd pull it off lol but it just doesn't suit guys like us. Moto jackets are wear it's at!

+1 yI guess I'm the odd one out here (or me and "Anonymous" are the odd couple out) because I like them. Of course it depends on the style of it; if it were one of those nasty, cheap synthetic jobs, forget it.
If it's black or another dark color, nicely fitted and of a good quality fabric, it looks really stylish. Especially if the guy has a nice upper-body shape.
Having said that, they don't look good on just anyone.40 Reply
But flesh colored plastic underwear are sooo sexy!!!!! lol jk! Hmm guys in turtlenecks....I dunno I'm an ear and neck person and I think that turtlenecks would just get in the way lol. Plus I wear turtlenecks sometimes and I wouldn't want a guy that dresses similar to me. Maybe your ex knew you don't like them but got some kind of satisfaction out of seeing you wear something you didn't like because she bought it for you.

Well some guys make pink look friggin hot,but I'd imagine some girls would do that. It's really funny that you bring this up because my boyfriend asked how I thought he looked in his glasses today. I think that they're cute on him,but he can't stand them. I told him what matters most is how he feels in them. If I wore a striped shirt and plaid skirt and he thought it was the sexiest thing ever,I would feel hidious and wouldn't wear it. I think the same respect should apply to everyone.
I LOVE TURTLENECKS ON GUYS. I''m not even exaggerating. Mainly plain dark colored ones. It makes men look mysterious, sophisticated, sexy, and unique. Once in the hallway in college, I saw a guy wearing one and I didn't even realize that I stopped walking and just stared for 2 seconds just to appreciate him in a turtleneck. I wish guys wore turtlenecks more often.

+1 yDamn Ville looking classy! Not bad at all! You've got a good physique to pull it off! And this is definitely the first time I'm saying this. Just from personal "experience" lmao, not a lot of guys can pull off turtle necks besides celebs (and sometimes they even suck at it), and even a smaller amount of guys can still look good with the shirt tucked in. Example: "L" is a pretty good looking dude and pretty muscular and he's 6'3'', but I can't imagine him wearing any of that. I think he looks better is casual outfits or just a button down with his sleeves rolled up and jeans. You look young but mature and really adventurous and open minded! The accent of the watch is on point, and overall a super great outfit, like you said, paired with a jacket. If you wanna be extra, extra you could find a belt that has gold on it to bring the whole outfit together. Nice style! You remind me of Eugene from The Try Guys!

Thanks a lot :p
Also yeah I should actually have a golden belt buckle for it to match my watch, but I couldn't find a good looking dark brown leather belt that would match my shoes, the leather on my watch AND the metal on my watch. So I just went with that one, 99,9% of people aren't nitpicky enough to notice such a small detail either way lol. Also Eugene has all kindz of class so that's a huge compliment - +1 y
:) Eugene is really experimental with his style! He's pretty awesome!
+1 yAre they still around? I haven't seen one in years. Remember the "dickey"; that fake turtleneck thing you wore under a shirt? I really haven't seen that in years! I'll let the girls give you their opinion?
02 Reply- +1 y
Actually, I did! (LOL) I seem to remember, vividly, how uncomfortable they were!
Well I have a few ribbed turtleneck sweater. Its a kind of bourne identity stuff which looks pretty cool. But as far as plain old cotton turtle necks. Id burn them and never look back.
10 ReplyI like it, but I think the look of a turtle neck also depends on the hairstyle of the person wearing it.
34 ReplyInteresting, what kind of hairstyles do you think work well with turtlenecks?
Alright, thanks for answering :)
+1 yIf I see a guy in them I think gay! But then I realize no gay man would ever be caught dead in one. Lol!
00 ReplyI absolutely loathe them on guys. Makes them look like pretentious snobs in my opinion. :D

Haha ouch, well I'm gonna be a pretentious snob for a while then :p
Uh I really do NOT like them at all, neither on me, nor on guys. It's just really too much.

Opinion Owner+1 yThat's not my only reasoning for not liking turtleneck's on men, but I didn't want to get into a long explanation. Personally, I think they don't flatter a man period. I think a man's neck is very masculine and the jawline is too...a turtleneck takes away from that view...I hear you Dean...anyone wears anything that makes them feel good these days and I for one, am all for that....I might be one of those odd looking kids you refer too...yikes!
Yeah i like them. But not that kind of turtleneck.
