Ladies, which colognes do you really like?

Guys, what gets you compliments?

(I've been wearing 'very sexy for men' from Victoria's Secret, and I get compliments on it pretty often. But I'm almost out of it and am wanting to switch)

Update: Alright, I threw some cash down on this Aqua di Gio stuff. We'll see if it pays off. Thanks for all of your input. Number two on the list was Burbury Touch, and it did smell good - so I may acquire some soon. We'll see. Again, thanks for the help.    2 months ago

LACOSTE smells amazing. I bought some for a friend of mine for his birthday well before Lacoste became really popular. It was his first bottle of cologne & he never turned back since. As for women, Forever by Alfred Sung is awesome as well as Romance or Escape by Ralph Lauren.

GREAT CHOICE! I literally *melt* when I smell Aqua Di Gio on a man. Instant attraction, no joke. No comparison in my opinion.

cool blue, deep blue, cool water...I don't know what it is exactly is called. Or tommy hilfiger...I would also like the smell of really expensive cologne. I hate old spice and stuff like that.

Question Asker Just curious... how come? is it because of that guy whose cologne is as subtle as a jackhammer? - 2 months ago
Answerer Well, that too, but mostly I just think it all smells horrible, even when its as subtle as can be. I prefer that a guy smell natural. Not sweaty and dirty, of course. Deodorant is always a must. - 2 months ago

Generally Gucci, Prada, Armani make long lasting but very fine cologne.

If you want a solid winner, go with Dolce & Gabbana, in the velvet dark blue box. Never have met a girl that didn't go bananas over it. It's that damn good.

Giorgio Armani's Aqua D' Gio is a good one too, but it's actually the one I switched from when I went to Dolce. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.

I've found that Armani Code isn't half bad (I've been complemented on it,and don't mind smelling like it), but it does depend a great deal on your body chemistry.

I'd suggest asking a girl whose opinion you trust along with you, to give her thoughts on whatever you pick out. You're wearing it to smell nice to them, after all.

I agree with the guys here that Aqua Di Gio is a solid choice. I switched it up recently and started wearing Romance, by Ralph Lauren. I think it's ok, but girls love it. And that's mostly what counts.

The other day I asked the cologne salesperson to recommend a new cologne, and he directed me to a new cologne called "Cluedo" (by Paris I think). I absolutely love it. It has a very distinct scent but isn't overpowering by any means. I honestly can't say enough about it, I'd recommend at least sampling it next time you're looking. The only problem is that I haven't had it for long enough to use it when I go out, so there hasn't been any female reactions to judge yet.

I've gotten compliments on Essential by LaCoste. But I'll have to try out this Aqua di Gio by Armani.

I wear Aqua Digio and I ALWAYS get compliments on it by girls. As far as other colognes I wear, I don't get the same response as that one.

springdragonfly The only time I've ever really thought that a guy smelt so good I had to ask what it was, the answer was Gio. It is awesome. Makes me want to get as close as possible. :D - 2 months ago

How bout Claiborne, its ultra sensual, warm, natural and with swirling notes of black pepper, pine needle, amber & sandalwood it creates a dynamic, masculine sensation.
