OK, Ill start at the beginning. I'm 5 years old and I tell my sister I'm gonna marry this guy who is 16 years old and a family friend. She says yeah, whatever 10 years later and I start falling for him. He's funny, we like doing the same things, he drives by my house I drop the glass I'm holding and break it, butterflies in my stomach, and he has the most beautiful blue eyes. (At least I think so! ) He's also been married to, had two kids with and divorced my cousin. I'm 15 at the time and he is 26. BIG difference.
But at least he's single. If I could just grow up really fast. Too late. A year later he gets a girlfriend. Now I'm 20, he's 31 with four more kids and I'm the loser. They are broke up half the time, but I know he loves her. When I turned about 19, he finally saw that I wasnt a little kid anymore. We flirt mercilessly and want each other but its too late. I feel as if I've been stabbed in the gut and now there is a big whole, an empty space that I can't will away.
If it's meant to be then you'll both find a way to be together. Don't give up hope! But you should go out and live life and find another guy, just in case he doesn't come back to you.
So what exactly are you asking? Seems like you've been waiting for him your whole life but when it came to that time your backing down! How is it too late? Remember age ain't nothing but a number! That's all it really is a number! I mean if I waited for him that long - practically my whole life - I would give it a chance and see how it goes with everything! Sweetie, you didn't even give him a chance and your saying I feel like I've been stabbed in the back! Do something about it and see how it goes, good luck!
Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I usually ask the girl where she wants to go and try to create something based on that. Typical stuff, dinner, maybe a movie, bowling. Ideally I would give her a short kiss goodnight if things went well but that's the most. I wouldn't push for too much more.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
I would tell her about my job and a little bit about my family to give her an idea of my background. I would hope she would think I am a genuine and caring person.
