Why is the number of women a man sleeps with makes him a player, man whore, NOT boyfriend material, and so many other negative titles? After all, for each woman a man sleeps with, there is an equal number of men a woman sleeps with.

But when women are asked their magic number, it is always 3 or 5. I guess there are a handful of women out there who has slept with the rest of the world for all these guys to be correct in their claims and all the other women are as innocent as can be?

I agree with honesty being the decent thing to do, but when women are slapped around for that honesty--well, they are less inclined to do it. It's the same reason why women lie about their ages. Instead of being thought of as older and wiser, they are considered passed their prime and un-dateable. We need to foster an atmosphere where women aren't afraid to be honest.

Besides, if women got praised and good reputations like dudes did for having lots of sex, maybe they wouldn't be ashamed of their magic number--and be honest--don't you look down on a woman who is just as sexual (or more sexual) than you are?

Question Asker I don't. If it's their preference to have slept with as many guys as they have, that's theirs to deal with, but if and when asked, the only decent response would be to tell the truth. I agree with the social acceptance that you hinted where it is the more the merrier for the men while the opposite for women. - 4 months ago

Well its the stereotype that guys just want to be in a relationship just for the physical aspect. I only know one manwhore as opposed to at least 20 slutty girls, but you are right. however, women are criticized for sleeping with men. men get a pat on the back for sleeping with a girl.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME. It is the other way around. womens are called sluts, trash and bimbos--MONICA LEWINKSY got run out of Washington and Clinton g tot slapped on the back for getting a hummer AND THEY W ERE BOTH ENGAGED IN THE SAME ACTIVITY--it is the other way around...besides, most guys who are "playahs" think of women as trophies and do not care about their feelings, this is why it is said that they are not good relationship material;.

Okay, I don't know one single guy that gets called a man whore. It always seems to be the girl. I go and have a one night stand, and everyone -- and I mean EVERYONE -- calls me a whore. But no, he's the one with the girlfriend (that I honestly had NO idea about) and he doesn't get called one bad name.

Hmmm... I'm not being sarcastic but since you brought it up...why do women/girls have to be whores because they have more than 1 lover? Guess the same goes true both ways. I think jealousy plays alot into name calling When a guy or a girl can't have what another one has that's when the name calling starts. Very immature and totally unnecessary behavior on both sexes.

It depends what you are in for. A lot of boys would be in for just the sex using females, leaving them and sleeping with any and everybody. But what boys need to realize is it's just as bad as a woman being called a bankhead for sleeping with more than enough man as to a male being equal to what they do it's basically the same.

It goes for both. Women are accused of being whores after so many men and vice versa, it's really how you deal with the relationship if you are known a player it's because you supposedly sleep with women and dump them after words or just sleep around with whovever.

A boyfriend will make his girlfriend feel like she is the only wonderful girl for him in the whole world. If you've slept with a lot of girls, she already doesn't feel like that with you.

Plus, if you can sleep with a lot of girls then toss them aside like it was nothing, girls are afraid that you'll do the same to them and break their heart.

Third, you're bringing baggage into your new relationship. The girl will wonder if you're thinking about other girls when you're with her, and that's not a pleasant thought.

As for the double-standard, aren't girls that sleep with a lot of guys sluts or whores?

Because sleeping with someone would mean some type of relationship and relationships (real ones) take time and effort which of course shows that you care about someone. When a guy is sleeping with one woman after the next and bouncing from relationship to relationship, what does that tell you about the guy? Again, meaningful relationships take time and if a guy is with many girls, how are these relationships forming? They are not forming. They are based on him fufilling his needs and that need is one of a player.

Well, if it's over like 25 then that's just a lot of girls to be sleeping with and there is no way you cared about them all. Same should apply with girls too, though.

Depends on what the number is, I think. More importantly, how long each relationship lasted. That is, if there even were relationships attached to each person they had sex with.

I'll say this when a man sleeps with alot of women to his friends he's the man. But when a woman sleeps with alot of guys to her friends and all the guys she's a whore. so I agree with A-R-Norman that it is the other way around. but its been that way since the beginning of time so no need to cry about it now.

Guys: Do you really fall in love with a girl?
lvrgirl2011 asked Yesterday

Yes, I've been in love.

No, I've never been in love.

I'm scared to love someone.

LOVE is an over-used word that doesn't have meaning.
