July will be a year since my last break up. Which by the way was through text by the ex. Childish huh? There's probably no reason to tell the whole story so ill try to make it simple. He broke it off through text. 3 weeks later he purposely walks by my job holding his new girlfriend's hand. It killed me. He never talked to me again. I'm Christian-so I asked him to forgive me though I hadn't done anything- he just casually accepted my apology. Cruel huh? I wanted to get along with his girlfriend in the beginning but now I can't stand her. She goes to my church and gets involved in every activity that I get involved in:/ ugh its really annoying. Any who, months later (as in a week ago) his sisters talked to me. Let me just add that they're already married older women. One hates my ex's girlfriend and the other told me about a happening. I guess that my ex had taken his girlfriend to his sisters house. His sister has a 4 year old son whom is awesome! Lol! Well the story is that the little boy says to the new girlfriend-"hey did you know that my uncle has a very pretty girlfriend? I saw them kiss! " I guess she thought that the little boy was talking bout her, so she asked him for her name. And he says," oh her name is Rachel (me). " Lol yea its a burn for that girl. I know. My ex's sisters tell me that it was funny because she stayed all serious.
Here's the thing though, I DON'T CARE! I mean why are his sisters telling me these things? What's the point of hearing things like these after almost a year? Help me to understand these ladies!
And here's my other question, how can you know when your heart is completely mended? Is there a way to be sure of it? Is it a process or can there be a way to hurry it all up?
First of all OUCH. I'm a computer whiz but I still don't know how that text messaging works. Anyways, the sisters of your EX probably thought that the boy was just making a cute remark and since it was about you they probably thought that it couldn't hurt to tell you but I can see that it did. I'm not qualified to help you out with stupid ladies.
Honestly, there is no sure way to mend your heart. I mean if after a year has gone by and you keep getting reminded about your EX then its just going to continue until you do something about it. Me, I could careless about church or anything related to it. So with that said, I can only suggest that you spend less time with your church functions so that you won't be running into this other girl all the time. The only way that I know to get over something is by taking on another obsession. You can either go for a hobby that has absolutely nothing to do with your EX or his current girlfriend or what they are into. OR since it has been about a year since your breakup then NOW is a good time to go back out into the world and date as many men as you can. Some word of advice, don't shoot down a guy just because you don't agree with him or he's not your type. In the dating world it should be about going out and having as much fun as you can and if that right guy comes along then start thinking about dating exclusively. You could try online websites such as Match. Com or Yahoo Personals which I think are your best bet. Others like True. Com, Mary. Com and eharmony. Com are NOT that great. Chemistry. Com is suppose to be great according to their commercials but I've tried it and didn't like it, especially since their subscriptions are outrageous. BUT definitely try both Match. Com and Yahoo Personals. They both have been good to me whenever I'm not in a relationship.
In today's world, finding the right guy outside is pretty low thanks to online dating websites. Oh and it does take awhile before some guy will ask you out online so be sure to put as much detail into your profile and PLEASE put as many pictures as you can that has just you in them. Guys are visual. The more that describes you in your profile the better chances you have on making a great impression.
Awwww that's so cute. I think that your ex's sisters just thought that what the little kid said to the "new girl-friend" was cute, and probably thought you would get a kick out of that. Also I know what it's like to totally fall head over heels for a guy and the next moment he's being a dummy, and he doesn't like you any more, It definitely sucks! But I don't know exactly how long your heart can take to mend, it depends on how you felt about this person. If he was your best friend then it can take a lot longer than you think. But I guess you'll truly know when your heart is mended when you stop thinking about this person and you start moving on with your life. It's not always the easiest thing but it's definitely what is best for you.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would want to go the beach and watch the sunset go down with a fire. Then when the moon is shining, take a long walk on the beach. I would wear a nice shirt, maybe some shorts or skinny jeans. My hair would probably be curled a little bit at the end and down. We would sit by the fire and start a conversation. At the end of the date, he would take me home. And if he impressed me enough, a kiss.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My date would know a lot about me. I would tell him my likes and dislikes, where I was from, my family and a lot more. He would know me very well. And I would probably know him very well.
