I'm an asian woman in late 20s who was born and raised in another country. In asian culture, showing affections to your love one is very rare. I was dating an Asian man from the same culture and we hardly expressed our feeling. It was very dry so I broke up with him. I feel like I'm looking for more romance in a relationship.
Now, I've been hanging out with my guy friend alone every week. He's very Americanized. I think I have a crush on him. I like him a lot. He used to flirt with me a lot and I like it but all of the sudden, he stops and being mean around me (distant & cold) I don't know if he lost interest in me or what. But his roommate/friend told me that he's acting this way because he looking for some affections from me that I never show.
He doesn't make any move though we spend time alone together a lot. He makes me comfortable and treat me like one of his guy friends. He never asks me out to a date but keep telling me that a lot of guys out there want to date me. I don't know if he likes me or not.
How to show affections properly without making him think I wanna sleep with him or anything sexually? It's way too soon for that. I just want him to know that I really like him more that friend. This might sound stupid but please help. Appreciated! Thanks.
Update: In another word, I don't want him to think I'm all over him and acting like a slut.

When your talking just playfully touch his arm. You could try to lock eyes with him, for about 5 seconds or less. After 5 seconds it just becomes uncomfortable. Also, try to read his body language to see if he's interested in you. If his toes are pointed together then he's nervous around you, this could be a sign weather he likes you or not. If he's facing you (with the top of his body) then your what he's focusing on. Just don't do anything too out of your comfort zone.
