Which do you prefer?

When people are upset they get mad to cover their sadness. Crying is part of the human emotion, there is nothing to be ashame about it. In fact I think if a girl cry and she still look pretty she is a hottie. Never know who is looking when you cry, maybe your prince is looking at you.

Everyone handles their emotion differently. Some people cry others simply don't.

Whatever way you feel is okay. But if you really feel like you are going to cry, go ahead and do so, and if you don't want people to see you, do it in private. I promise you, you will feel a whole lot better.

I do the same thing, but have always thought it a bit of a personal oddity. Maybe it's not.

None of my friends have seen me cry. I feel like if they did, I'd lose a lot of respect for myself. There's no dignity in letting your emotions (including anger) rule you in front of other people, and crying in particular leaves you feeling very exposed and vulnerable. Probably silly, but still, there it is.

So if I'm upset, I generally just get really quiet and deal with it on my own. It usually means I need some alone time. Though I know my friends would gladly support me were I to break down and sob at them, I also feel that it should not be on them to deal with. It's my problem, after all. I suppose they know me well enough not to take it personally.

I have cried at work, twice in my life - both times when I was still in university, and both times alone in the ladies room. I like to think nobody knew, but you can only stay in there so long to let your eyes regain their former clarity.
