Okay, this is my first question as a member of this site. And I'm sure I'll have others. But the big one is about a guy I've liked for like ever named Andrew. (Boxing is his favorite sport. ) Okay, well mainly I want to know if it sounds like he likes me. I've gone through a lot the past school year and I don't want it to end without going out with him, if that's possible. Well, first of all, my friend Cindy once talked to him in science class. She wasn't subtle, but she told him he should ask me out. He gave it a moment's thought, which I was surprised to hear. But then the science teacher told them to stop talking so he just said 'Maybe. ' I hoped that would mean yes, but that hasn't happened yet and it's been a while. Anyway, he always denies it when people ask him if he likes me, and I don't blame him. Why should he blab it to the whole school if he likes me? His best friend, Corey, is like my best guy friend, and Andrew knew that. That's why he didn't tell him straight forward that he liked me. I was confused when Corey told me he said he liked me "15 out of 100 on a 'like scale'' but I was okay with that. He wouldn't tell Corey if he liked me a lot because Corey would tell me.
I think he's too worried about his reputation to go out with me, which I think I might be able to change if I get closer to him, and trust me I've tried. The only reason I'm so optimistic about this is that sometimes he give me 'looks'. In the library last week he gave me this amazing look, I'll never forget it. It was like in the movies, where you get that look and nothing else matters, you fall in love and that's it. It was sweet, sensitive, and perfect. He's a very class-clown kind of guy, but this wasn't like that. It was sincere, honest, and vulnerable. Perfect. But of course, no one but me saw that look, which is why I think he was so confident in giving it to me. Other times, especially recently, he gives me different looks in class, sort of flirty, sort of funny, you know that kind of stuff. Even a couple times he'll look at me and lick his lips sort of perverted-ly, but then laugh it off and I would too. He tells me his lips are sexy, especially after he gets a cut from boxing. And whenever I hang out with my friends he runs over and acts flirty. Sorry this is so long, but I wanted some input on if this guy really does like me or if he's just being a comedian, like always. Update: Okay well today he put his arm around me and said 'whats up kristen' and it sounds more innocent to you but you've never heard his voice.. it is (literally) an italian/dominican republic/new york mix... insanely hott <33333

It's so hard to tell with guys. My best advice is to watch how he behaves with other girls. If he's like this with a lot of girls then it probably doesn't mean too much; but if not then, yeah, I'd say he definitely likes you! Regardless, if you like him you should keep being nice to him and if he isn't interested now he'll see how sweet you are and realize that he does like you.
