So after work on Saturday I needed to blow off some steam. A punk ass high school prom kid called me a f***ing bitch and then threw a steak knife at me as I was leaving the room. He was removed from the restaurant but obviously I my night was rough. So I got dressed up all cute, in a short skirt and heals and paraded around the back for minute so the guy I like could see what he was missing (sorry different story). Anyway, my friend and I left and went to have a couple of drinks. We have hung out a few times before. I know his girlfriend and we spent the night talking about the guy I have a thing for. So after a few drinks we left the bar/restaurant and went back to his apartment. He lives with another guy from work so I figured we would all 3 talk about our shitty night and drink a few beers and that's it. Well the roommate wasn't there when we got there but he showed up later. The night was exactly what I expected. We talked the way friends talk, about our significant others, our past jobs, friends, etc. Well at around 4 I decided it was late so I needed to head home. Well at this point he grabs me and starts to kiss me. I did not kiss him back and pulled away from him. I tried to leave. He grabbed me and pulled me into his bedroom where he pushed me against the wall and tried to kiss me again. I kept saying no, and trying to pull away. He pulled a condom out of his bedside table. Up until this point I was fine. I was ready to chalk it all up to too much alcohol and bad judgment. When he pulled the condom out I ran out as fast as possible. I grabbed my purse and shoes and ran to my car. He followed me. When I got to my car he tried to kiss me again and put his hand up my skirt and shirt. I pushed him out of my car and drove off. I got home at around 5 am. That is when he started calling. He called 5 times but I didn't answer. I sent him a text saying I was going to bed and we could talk about this later. He started texting me, begging me to call or answer his phone. After the third text I called him. He started talking dirty to me on the phone. I hung up and haven't answered any of his calls since. We work together. He is good friends with the manager. I am the newest person there. I don't want him to go into work and start talking about me saying things happened that didn't or even that I wanted him. I am thinking of transferring to a different location. I am not sure what to do. I mean I don't know what would have happened if I had been drunk. I have a long drive home so I always stop drinking at least one hour before I have to drive. We work together tomorrow and I don't know what if anything I should say to him. Or the managers.
I don't know what your faith situation is, but I have learned that when I take difficult situations to God, He often deals with it, without me having to do anything else. If you share your heart, honestly, with God, He will do something in this situation, possibly even convicting the guy so he will apologize to you. He may also allow the guy to get caught in his own lies, and behaviors, so Shorty's advice is good if prayer doesn't bring immediate results. Even if he accuses you though, God will honor you if you don't react to him, and his behaviors, in kind.
Uncomfortable situation to say the last. Shorty's advice pretty much covers the 'what to do' question. I would go to work though, and as soon as you see your friend, you call him over, and tell him, hey, I need to talk to you about what happened the other night, outside of work.
One of my friend is a manager at a restaurant and like he says, 'there is enough sh! T going on with work, that I don't need to come to work and deal with all these punk asses drama. " What happened between you and your friend, happened outside work hours so I would bring something up, if any harassment occurs during work hours; otherwise, you deal with the situation outside of work. Of course, I know you're thinking that because you're dealing with somebody from work, then you have to tell the managers what happened; but what are the managers to do? People will talk no matter what, so if that happens, then that's another situation you'll have to deal with. Good luck.
I agree with shorty: the first thing you need to do is tell the guy what's what.
For my two cents, may I offer some free legal advice? From your description, it sounds like this guy has committed sexual assault as well as attempted rape. Now, feel free to take this as far as you want to, legally speaking, but you should know that very few cases like this end well. Ultimately it comes down to a he said/she said scenario with expensive lawyer bills and unlikely convictions. However, this guy doesn't know you don't plan to take it that far. If he is anything less than 100% compliant and apologetic, I'd suggest going to the police and filing a report. It probably won't make it very far in the system, but being contacted by the cops will not only show him you mean business, but it will also scare the crap out of him. Just a suggestion!
If he starts telling the managers something that didn't happen tell them the truth. Maybe they've dealt with a situation like this before and will believe you. And as for the dude you need to tell him exactly how you feel bout him. You need to tell him that if he wants 2have sex with a girl so bad maybe he should call him girlfriend. Tell him to stop calling u, texting u, etc. , whatever you want him 2 stop doing tell him, if he doesn't listen and stalks you or ever touches you in a way you do not want 2be touched ever again, get the police involved. Tell him your not afraid to go to the police and if he doesn't stop your gonna get them involved.
I was really kind of afraid of him. I mean at the time I didn't realize it because my brain was just trying to figure out the best way out of the situation but he was a lot stronger than me and if he had want to, I would have been in some serious trouble. I mean this guy was supposed to be a friend and coworker. I don't want to say anything to the managers at work but I also don't really want to have to deal with him either. First date..mmm.... dinner at some place downtown. afterwards maybe go for a walk as the temperature drops in the city. Finally it would be your choice if you wanted to watch a movie or go downtown, either way its paid for!MY style, would have to be a pair of baggy jeans and a over sized polo, with a fitted cap, the date would end in either a drunk state or a relaxed vibe.
