I have a really good guy friend, that I have known for about a year now. Well him and his girlfriend broke up about a month and 1/2 ago but it ended really good and they are still friends. Even when they were dating we hung out all the time, but it was never romantic. Well for the past few weeks people have been asking me and him if we liked each other. So finally we talked about it and think its kind of funny that every one thinks we like each other, so it was really nice to get it out so neither of us felt awkward. But then he has been FLIRTING a lot lately and constantly saying things like "my girlfriend" better not be doing that. Or "when we get married" and looks at me with his cheesy smile and asks me if I like him, trying to be serious. The problem is I think he likes my reaction and that's why he keeps bugging me. But when I ask him teasingly if he likes me, he says yes. With a smile. Is he just joking with me or is he really trying to find out if I like him?
Update: If you (meaning a guy) think one of your girl friends likes you would you tease your her because you like her reaction (I blush and then glare at him) or does that mean you are interested and your testing the "waters"?

I think so. But that scares me. He is an amazing guy, and a REALLY good friend, but my other problem is that his ex girlfriend is one of my good friends. But the weird part is that I am closer to him than I have ever been with her. Our relationship has never been anything other friends, and we NEVER crossed any lines. But I feel really guilty because now I think I do like him and I don't know what to do. I don't know. Isn't that like a rule, don't date your friends ex boyfriends? - 2 months ago
I think there's a hidden meaning behind is teasing and jokes. I think he does like you but, he may just be enjoying the idea before he asks you out or is thinking about it. If he says yes I doubt he would lie about it.
From my interpretation I think that he likes you. Cause he does say have those saying "When we get married" or "my girlfriend" if you want to know. Ask him straight forwardly. Saying something like "I really like you and I want to be with you" or something like that. Tell him that you like him and you want to date him and stuff.
ok. so I've started to have some feeling for my best guy friend. but I want to tell him but I don't want to ruin our friendship. SIGNS?:1)2day he was...
