My guy and I have been together for almost a year and a half, and we're so in love. We've always used both. Birth control and condoms. Better safe than sorry, trust me. My mom got pregnant when she was 17. And although I'm almost 20 now, I still don't want something like that to happen. I'm too young.
My sister is having a baby because her birth control failed her. My recommendation is use a condom as well. Better be safe then -insert baby cry here- sorry!

Even if the girl has taken birth control doesn't mean that she won't get an STD. You know sexually transmitted diseases. You need to wear a condom every time you have sex. Even if you got checked for STDs and you don't have any. What if the girl has herpes and doesn't tell you. What if she has HIV and didn't tell you. You could die. You always wear a condom.
There is no such thing as safe sex only safer sex. Birth control is not 100% so a condom will certainly help. You also need to know that she is STD free. Both of you should go and get tested prior to anything without a condom.
There are still sexually transmitted diseases you can get that you or her could have gotten through things such as blood transfusions, unclean needle use for drugs, etc. I don't know you or your background. I had a professor once who was telling us that she been molested as a child and as a result had gotten something. I don't want to scare you. Sex is a wonderful thing. I wouldn't let the fact that there are STDs in the world keep you from having sex if you are ready for it. Just be safer. - 6 months ago
