A few days ago I was watching "a shot at love" and one of the guys said he thought being bi-sexual was a phase. I thought that was kind of interesting and wanted to know how everyone else thought about this?

I think sexual interest is fluid and changes as the person changes. Homosexual experimentation is fairly common in intelligent, educated people. Most of these people will eventually come to the conclusion that they like the opposite gender more and will still with that. If that is their choice, then one might say it was a phase. If, however, they decide to continue being sexual with people of both genders or only their own gender then it clearly isn't a phase.

I think there are a very few true bisexuals out there (like both genders equally). I think that most people are perfectly capable of being sexual with either gender, they simply have preferences.

Can't really speak for those that do, but most of us straight guys are appalled at the idea of being with another guy. I'd rather eat a rotten frog!

It will probably always be there, but how much it is talked about will probably depend on the overlying ideals around sexuality. I have seen a recent surge in sacred sexuality. The 60's had its sex phase, but it was not one that created connection. I am seeing a more connecting sexuality now with the influx of tantra and other sacred sexuality teachings starting to well up. As a result of that I think people (both male and female) are becoming more comfortable with their sexuality and therefore more open to the bi experience. So, is it a fad? No, I don't think so. I think it is an awakening.

Advice: How To Have Friends With Benefits
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 19 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
Ah. Well honestly I'm HORRIBLE at the whole dating thing, and my dates have always gone completely miserable, but hmm.. The prefect date would have to be something fun and relaxing. No dressing up or any of that crap, just like jeans and a t-shirt for attire? If the date goes well it would end with a kiss. =]

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
Well, I tend to talk a lot when I'm nervous. Probably a little too much =] Haha.

Would you date me?
