Don't read into it too much, the fact is you and him have amazing eye contact no? Double-take is more technical garbage. Trust me he won't even know what he meant by doing a "double-take". There are really unlimited possibilities and if you have amazing eye contact, none of them are bad. Maybe he is just as curious as you are, how long has this crush been going on. If for more then 2 weeks I would say it's a safe bet he is wondering if you are interested.
