I mean.

Perfectly hypothetical, of course. Say I'm into a male friend of mine. Say he likes me as a just a friend. (Intel from a mutual friend, per my request. ) Is it unreasonable to hold out SOME glimmer of hope that might change? I mean. Not trying to force things as well.

Does that happen?

Nothing is unreasonable, just be yourself. If nothing ever happens then nothing ever happens, but don't plan out your life based on fear, just be who you are, do what you want, and hope everything works out in the end.

From my experience though, these kinds of situations usually stay one-sided. I wish you the best of luck though.

Question Asker Thank you for the well-wishing.

It was just really frustrating. I thought he had been flirting with me for quite awhile. Guess I've never been able to read guys. Hehe

And thanks to gravygirl and whoever else will respond. - A month ago
Answerer Well if he's been flirting with you that might change things slightly, but what I said before still holds. Just let it play out since people can't force these things. - A month ago
Question Asker Heh, no I'm not going to force things. Not that I ever did before but I'm going to just let this flow naturally and try not to let the inappropriate thoughts he seems to bring on bother me. Hehe. TMI? Maybe. - A month ago
Answerer No thoughts are inappropriate! Only actions can be. IMO. Fantasize all you want :) - A month ago

Sure, it happens. Maybe not real often, but I know some couples who were strictly just friends before they started dating.

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would just be happy to go on a first date, which would ironically be the very first date I've ever gone on in my life!

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
I don't know, we'd see when the time comes...if ever!

Would you date me?
