I have recently broken up with a said, "bad guy", he treated me great at first but over time he just used me. Now not only did my guy friends wonder why I let myself be treated like crap but so did my girl friends. Until about a week or two ago I had no idea, except for shallow reasons and then I realized that the reasons were way deeper and I wasn't aware of them. I realized that the reason I go for "the bad guy" was because I am not ready for a serious commitment, and with this guy I knew that I wasn't going to spend "forever" with him because he wasn't someone who was forever material.
I think that train of thought is comparable to most womens reasons for dating the bad guy. Have you ever noticed that nice guys say, "nice guys always finish last,"? Well that finishing last usually means getting the girl forever, unlike the bad guy, who probably like the woman isn't serious about the relationship in a forever way.
I say this keeping in mind that every person is very different so this is just a generalized thought/answer. It's also not just a personal experience its an observation of friends and random people. I hope that helps...
I married a nice guy--there are some who liek nice guys--but you have to be interesting. Nice and boring doesn't cut it. my hubby is nice but also a good person, with a lot to say and is passionate funny and kind--in other words, he is nice but also fun to be around.
We want people who are more than just nice--we like umph. besides, I think nice guys generally are too shy while bad boys seem confident. Women like a man who will make her feel safe and protected, not a guy who will get the snot beat out of him -- the allure of the bad guy is safety as well as passion and fun.
Would you want to be with a wet blanket?
But as woman and men mature, that changes. Young girls think bad boys are exciting until they get one then they are over it.
If nice guys could be funny and interesting with a bit of edge, they could get girls too....
Yes. They are sweet to you, but bad-ass to everyone else. It makes you feel extra-special. Plus, they leave you wanting more of their kindness...you begin to crave them. They'll protect you from anything and will stick up for you no matter what. Plus, they aren't clingy, needy, overly-sweet.
No--plenty of girls are interested in good guys--but men and women both tend to chase what isn't good for us--nice guys tend to want shallow yet pretty women...a different approach may yield better prospects for nice guys... - 6 months ago
I'm a good girl - and I always seem to attract the bad guys. Why is that so? I don't go for them. I'm innocent, a virgin, shy and pretty quiet. Why do...

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
My ideal for a first date would be hanging out at the mall with a group of people just so that I could get to know him with people around before I do with just him and I. I like it ending with a hug and maybe a kiss. It depends on if I am really into him or not! I would wear something really cute or sexy.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
He would know almost anything that he wants to know.
I recently just read an article on askmen.com which was basically on how to tell if you are dating an Alpha Female and how to counteract her little techniques and win her over. I thought to myself,...
This is the number one reason why some men get a ton of women and other men get none. Fear of rejection is something that almost every man has to deal with at some point in his life, as it is the most...
