I always wanted to know what you guys talk about when you are alone (no girls around). Do you talk about a girl and how she acts or do you just talk about guy stuff?

Guys will talk about girls, specially if something happen recently. What gets talked about and how it gets talked about depends a lot on which guys are there and what kind of guy the speaker is. Usually when it comes to girls the topics are usually- looks, attitude, sex, and anything that might have happen. How we talk about it depends on the guy. For example- with sex, a decent guy will either not mention it or say that he slept with her. The ass will say that he boned her hard last night and that she was great. Yes, guys can be jerks, I will admit that. We just aren't all like that, so how we talk really depends on who is there and if we are a decent guy or not.

Buy an issue of Maxim, FHM or any of those so-called lad-mags. They have the kind of stuff guys are interested in, so I think it's a good approximation.

We talk about sensible shoes, hot outfits that bring out our eyes, and girls. No. Wait. I know this one.. we talked about how beautiful and precious we all find you ladies, and how we love your dimples, or how your eyes look, or how we love that cute little thing you do.

Actually, I spend my time making fun of my buddies, talking about work, asking questions about something I should know for the future, deflecting insults, being silly, and eating. And, since I'm a little less experienced with women, I might talk about women a little, but it's rare.

Today, the big news was I'm going to be in the paper! Obitua... kidding. I talked with friends about a friend's heart attack, talked about the holidays, taught some stuff, discussed some theatrical concepts, and talked about some features on a carrying case I bought.

Monday, we watched DVD's and I gave some advice to a kid on some theatrical stuff. I tired working through my Rubik's cube. I talked about microphone systems, and tried to find out as much as possible about a problem I've been having with audio. Everyone made fun of me, I made fun of everyone. We joked with our waitress a few times, and I tried flirting (not well) with her a little bit.

Mainly we guys talk shop. Or how, for example, political things affect our lives. Fairly normal stuff, I guess; at least for a bunch of entertainers.

In addition to typical guy stuff, like cars, gadgets, sports, politics and such we definitely talk about women too. Oh wait... that's guy stuff too. At times, we can even multi-task that one too, where we can still carry a great conversation about this girl we met the other night at the bar and how deep of a connection we felt, while checking out the hottie walking pass by. We can even throw a couple of comments in between about the hottie walking by :) We are more talented than we seem. It's just that taking the trash out, filling the dishwasher or picking up after ourselves is not our specialty!

The only time that guys really talk about girls with each other is to comment on the insane emotional shit that they do. Other than that we like to talk about cool things like science and porn.

Generally whatever has been on our minds lately. There are definitely conversations about girls - in both the positive and negative light. Sometimes there is even complaining about a girlfriend.

Hey There,

A lot of what men talk about depends on the type of man doing the talking. In my case, I can generally say what I talk about is fairly similar to what guys think women talk about. Friends, family, girls, cute girls, clothes (If it applies to the topic) games... Everything. I talk a lot, and love talking about anything I can.

A buddy of mine is a huge sports fan. He will talk about Sports all the time, but even so, we talk about work, our girls, kids, school, news... Guys even gossip, giggle, and indulge in secrets and fantasies if it means anything to the topic.

What I can say is topics, questions, and answers are generally more concise than a lot of what I hear women saying.

Its really difficult to generalize such a HUGE topic, eh?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I'm not overly shy so if I see someone I like I will just start talking to them.. depends on the setting I guess. I don't do any true "pickup lines", but I do often say something like 'hey, you look nice - are you here with your friends tonight." or "Hey, having a good time" If they are interested this seems to work most of the time.

How do they typically respond?
Most girls either just walk away or make small talk and leave.. but some appreciate the straightforward approach and will keep talking to me. Any suggestions?

Do I have the right approach?
