Hey guys! I'm 17 and a senior in high school. all throughout high school I've never had a boyfriend. I went to a small junior high and thought once I went to high school everything would be different and I would definitely meet someone I would date. well 4 years later I've given up on that thought. I'm not that shy when I'm in groups and I have a lot of friends. I play sports and go to dances. but I always go to dances alone ha I always seem to come up with an excuse why I don't have a date and its pathetic!. anyway another reason or excuse I give a lot is that I'm really tall ha and I really don't like the idea of dating someone shorter. I know it sounds shallow but its just weird for me. the fact that I don't have someone that I can just go to and talk about my day or help me with my problems sucks. I just want someone to like me for me and not just want to hook up. I've hooked up with a few guys before but they both actually had gfs which sucked because I was only there for the hook up. and I don't consider myself that bad looking because I've heard of a lot of guys that think I'm pretty but I am never the girl that gets asked out. what's wrong with me? please help!

Okay, the reality is, not everyone has a boyfriend in high school, and very few people have what can seriously be considered a relationship in middle school.
I had a boyfriend for like, 2 days in middle school, and one for 5 1/2 months my freshman year. Middle school barely counts, and my boyfriend in high school was not even worth the trouble. You're graduating in a year, so, in 8 months, you probably won't be anywhere near him. Don't you have regular friends to talk to about your day or help you with your problems? It sounds more like you want a best friend than a boyfriend. Try talking to your closer friends more often, or getting closer with some of them. Trust me, having a boyfriend in high school is underrated. Just think: when you graduate, you'll have a pool of countless new guys to delve into. So, no, there's nothing wrong with you.
Also, as a thought, have you tried asking out guys yourself? Girls that are tall and pretty are intimidating to guys.
