its really depending on the guy. not all guys are jerks. its the ones most girls are attacted to who are jerks. its because society is attracted to assholes. because the jerks portray confidence and the ability to protect. women love both thoes traits and feel that if he's cute has confidence and can protect her (or looks like it) then she can fix any personality issue she doesn't like about him. and thus lye the problem. girls wanna fix a guy and guys don't want to change just because a girl wants them to. so they act like jerks and drop you as soon as another girl is found. and then there's other kinda guys who act like jerks, because they want to control the situation. one of my best friends is in this situation. she is in love with this guy who does care about her but doesn't know how to show it. all he knows is how to play games. once she stopped playing games he lost control and didn't know what to do so now he's acting weird cause he doesn't know how to respond her reactions when he tries to make her jealous, or tries to blow her off.. now she's back in control and now he's actually learning how to be nice to her. he wanted to control it so he would never get hurt. but she's breaking him in to be a real man and accept someone in his life.
there are multiple reasons why guys act like they do. most the time they feel like its what's needed to succeed, or other times when nice guys get walked on and are tired of being everyone's floor mats and they retaliate. so you just need to find the ones who are tired of plaing games and already act like a real man and not playing games to hide their true self's.
Pretty much all guys have been jerks by the time they've gotten to their teen years.. And there is nothing wrong with that in particular, as that's just a part of human nature. - 17 days ago
