i'm 20 years old, and have not had a serious boyfriend since high school. I am attractive, smart and funny. I have plenty of potential hook ups. but I don't want that. i can't understand why every single guy that comes around is just into the hook up. it's like there isn't one decent guy out there for me... sure, they're out there, but why don't they ever come my way? it's been this never ending cycle of heartbreak for the past three years for me. they NEVER want a relationship. it never. ever. ever. seems to work out. what am I doing wrong?
everytime another FAILED relationship happens in my life, I basically swear off guys... then I meet a new one... always hope for the best... then they screw me over again. every time. I just don't know what to do anymore. what is wrong with me?
Update: i'll add that I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I am not clingy- I just go with the flow. and it's not like I immediately put out either... I know better than that now. I just can't understand.

I want a relationship, and trust me there's more men like me out there too. Were out there, and were looking for the same things you are. It's all a matter of taking risks and continuing to have a positive outlook.
It probably isn't anything you're doing wrong. You're 20 years old. If you are dating guys close to your age bingo that's the problem. Most young guys are not trying to settle down and be in a decent relationship, they are too busy sowing their wild oats to care about breaking hearts and treating a girl right. They say a good man is hard to find.
I can relate to that, I only ever get guys who just want to f*** and it makes you wander if that's all people think you're good for. There are guys out there that are interested in a relationship though-they are just harder to find. Try not to get discouraged by it, just be thankful those losers aren't in your life anymore. Maybe go somewhere different where you're more likely to meet the good guys? I do believe everything happens for a reason and I believe in fate, you will meet the right guy when you're meant to.
