Move on, find someone else = No! Anyone feel the same?!

I think it depends on the circumstances. Sometimes there is no other choice but to move on and it is the best decision. Other times it is worth hanging in there. Totally depends on the circumstances though. I'm not advising becoming an obsessive stalker lol.

It can be infuriating when you love someone, have problems and people just say move on. It annoys you because the replies are so flippant. This person means the world to you and people are just saying forget them? what the hell..?! But to be honest, sometimes outsiders can provide a really useful objective view to your relationship. They aren't blinded by love or making decisions confused by feelings so it is worth listening.

Well if you don't move on you are going to be miserable. You don't realize that moving on is indeed an option and you are just not willing to do so. I was told about that last girl that I liked to move on and I didn't for months. You really should move on because after I moved on I met the girl I love. You're not going to have anything come from hanging onto the same person if you need to move on.

Everyone in one point thinks that, if you like him don't you want him to like you back? obviously he doesn't, why holding on to something that won't happen?

Okay be stubborn and always long for something you can't have. People can't accept it because it's dumb, you seem obsessive. Refusing to not move on only hurts you.

OK, don't move on. Spend the rest of your life wanting a guy who you will never have! Or who will treat you badly! Or who will cheat! Or who will gradually destroy your self esteem and confidence to the point where you hate yourself and you are depressed!

Telling someone to "move on" does not mean telling them to stop liking or lusting after or loving someone. It means telling them to acknowledge that the likelihood of making the relationship work is very small. And that it would probably be best to learn how to go on without the relationship.

The whole point of an advice site like this or friends/relatives/mentors is to tell us things that we know make sense, but we don't want to do. When we are upset about relationships, we are often less reasonable and logical than usual. When everyone is saying, "move on", then I would take that advice seriously. Because a few months from now, when things have calmed down, you will either have found someone new who will make you happy or this guy you are having problems with now will have overcome his issues and have begged you to come back to him. Whatever happens, waiting around being miserable and not moving on will not help.

There are situations where I have given advice for someone to move on, knowing that they just don't want to accept it. You sound like you are one of these people. My attitude is, I can give people advice, but ultimately, people are going to do what they want and maybe make mistakes and either end up miserable or happy. What I know is that there are certain situations, like where someone has cheated or is an alcoholic or has a bad temper/ mean personality, where people usually do not change. It does make me sad in those situations when people choose not to move on because chances are that they will end up wasting time being unhappy when they could have gone out and met someone great! You do what you want, but it would be sad if this happened to you.
